Saigon - Described (by himself) as a male version of Mother Theresa, a local good Samaritan confirmed that he had just raised a staggering $0.01 for charity from his loyal and generous Tik-Tok followers.

The poorly named and equally poorly attended event “Bắp Xào for a good cause” aimed to support those in need. Ironically, the philanthropist himself soon became the one in need (for customers) as pressure mounted.
He soon changed approach, by doing his first Tik-Tok live, which was described by all involved as a fever dream. One Tik-Tokker agreed, “It was so confusing. He seemingly forgot that he couldn’t speak Vietnamese, meaning that he was simply relaying sentences said by his Vietnamese assistant, very poorly. Watching this full 13 minute Tik-Tok live made my recurring nightmares seem like a walk in the park. However, I do now have a new nightmare brewing and I am not sure whether I will be able to sleep tonight.”
A local NPO expert (Hạnh) had a scathing review of this fundraising attempt by Mr. Bắp Xào. “People just don’t associate corn with charity, it simply doesn’t work. It’s like starting a dog meat BBQ fundraiser to save the whaling in the Chinese oceans. There has to be a link.”
Similarly, the charity chosen by the all round do-gooder stated that they have no intention of taking any money from him. “We are not comfortable taking corn money, it just feels weird. We would much rather have a cocaine dealer support us than Mr. Bắp Xào himself.”
At press time, “Father Theresa” stated that he is excited to hand over the cheque to the charity first thing in the morning “I cannot wait to see the looks on their faces”.
