Saigon - Earlier this morning a popular food delivery app blocked an expat's account due to a new, spine-chilling avatar.
The man, who claims that he only wanted to lift the spirits of the delivery drivers, was baffled by the decision. "During these crazy times, I just wanted to bring cheer, lift the spirits of the delivery guys. I haven't got the foggiest idea why my avatar was labeled 'disturbing'. Clowns are funny, no?"
Barry, Chief Communications Officer of the delivery app, confirmed that the deliverymen, (along with the entire HR and Customer services departments) all but shat themselves out of fear upon seeing the avatar. "Peter, our Customer Services Lead, is undergoing counseling as we speak while 12 deliverymen left for Tibet on foot this afternoon. Apparently, searching for God after seeing that terrifying photo. The remaining drivers refuse to go Binh Thanh, petrified of, who they only refer to as, 'the clown'".
At press time, the man was removed from the app completely after uploading his new avatar, without the clown makeup. Said the app's Software technician, "Jesus, that looks even scarier than the clown pic from before".
