Saigon - In what can only be called the biggest historical event since, arguably, the fall of the Berlin wall, a Saigonese bus driver became the first bus driver in Saigon, to use the brake pedal since, well, ever.
The freak incident was spotted by eye witnesses around 2pm today, when astonished onlookers witnessed the first time in Saigon that a bus actually decelerated to avoid an accident.
"I always wondered what that pedal was for, I just assumed maybe its like, I dunno, a super hooter or something. Basically, my foot slipped (I need to buy new sandals) and I accidentally stepped on this mysterious pedal which surprisingly, slowed the Bus down." said the confused driver (who has 5 names but goes by the name his grade 4 English teacher gave him, Ronny.)
This was indeed a sight to behold as bus drivers in Saigon usually avoid traffic accidents (very effectively) by using the eardrum bursting hooter and thereby scaring the living shit out of fellow motorists and motorcyclists alike.
At press time a confused Ronny was checking the bus's oil level, unsure whether that had something to do with the mysterious flashing lights on the right front and back of the bus.
